Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a few answers to questions you might have. If by the end, I still haven't answered your question, then feel free to reach out at my email.
Why should I hire you?
I believe that I can provide the service you require and make it a wonderful experience all at the same time. I'm very understanding and friendly. Lastly, I love what I do and want you to love the end result too.
Why are you more expensive than "xyz" photographer?
I provide high quality work that has been the training of years. I constantly devote myself to learning new and improved methods for lighting, shooting, posing and editing. When shooting a session I am prepared with all the equipment I would need. My studio sets take hours of planning and preparing. Same goes for my editing.
Ok let's do an example of everything that goes into a $125 family session:
Why don't you give me all the images you shoot?
Firstly, there are always some images that are just not usable. I go thru them first to make sure you only get the best and most flattering images. I always take a lot of extra pictures so that I make sure there's enough for you to choose from. Think of it this way, if I was a baker making you a cake and I burned the first batch, I would not give you that one because it would not be my best work for you the client that are paying me.
Also, although I edit more images than your packages comes with; they are usually similar in nature and are there so you can choose the one you like more. Remember, the more I edit the more hours I spend, but I think it's fair for you to see all the images you could have instead of forcing you to take whatever I deem best ones.
Do you offer more images than the package includes?
Yes, you are able to buy additional digital download images directly from your personal online gallery. You may purchase 1 image at a set price or pick one of the bundles for a savings deal. Each individual digital is $15 but there are packages of 5x$50 and 10x$100
Do you sell prints?
At the moment I am not selling prints, but I do leave on the option to purchase prints directly from the professional photo lab I use. These prints will be priced at the price charged by the lab+processing fee. The only prints I include are on my full package for weddings.
Do you provide a print release?
Yes, all of my current packages include a print release. This means that you can take that paper and print your pictures anywhere you want. I do always reccomend using a professional lab instead of printing at your local pharmacy or department store. Those places tend to change the end color of your image instead of what you see on your digital copy. I always have suggestions of places to print if you don't wish to order thru the gallery; just ask me for those suggestions.
Will you edit my body/face?
In advance editing for weddings/portraits, I will remove blemishes that are not usually there (a sudden zit or a scrape), soften skin a little, and even skin tone lightly. I will not change your body shape at all. We are all beautiful and I want you to love how you look the way you are. I believe in positive body image! There's always poses and angles to help flatter your look without changing you.
For basic editing I still make sure that skin tones are even and no noticeable blemishes are present. Advanced retouch is just more detailed when you zoom in.
Do you travel beyond than what is offered in the package I want?
Yes, I do travel farther but additional fees are added depending on the distance.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes, this is very important. A contract assures everyone that we are agreeing to a service with specific ppoints and it will provide you with reassurance that I will deliver my services as arranged.

Cake Smash Questions
Do you always provide the cake for a smash session?
Yes, I do provide it but keep in mind that there is a clause in my contract about allergies. Also, remember to have your child taste cake at least 2 weeks BEFORE their session.
What about cleaning up after cake smash?
You don't have to worry about anything but your child. I will provide a towel for when we finish the session so you can clean up your child. I will clean up the studio and will wash the towel.
When should I book the session?
It all depens. If you want the pictures for sure to be available before their actual birthday; then the session needs to be scheduled at least 2 weeks before their birthday. If you prefer the picture be done on the actual birthday; then we can schedule like that and you'll get 1 preview within 24-48hrs which you can share with the watermark.
What else should I bring?
Bring extra clothes, diapers, wipes, a drink and snacks.
Can I take home the leftover cake? And what about the props/outfit?
You are more than welcomed to take home what remains of the cake...if your baby leaves anythinmg for you to take! As for props/outfits; they are not for you to take home as they are part of my studio materials. If you bring a specific prop to use (please discuss with me first) then of course you can take that home.
